Techies

When we go to Mo (which isn't often yet, this spring) we go. We go straight to Mo.

We do not pass GO.
We do not look back.
We get there and we get there ASAP.

When we come home, we wander.
We take the back roads. We take the side roads.
We take the dirt roads and the ridge roads.
The river bottom roads and the by ways.

We do.

But we are never alone. Not when we have the trusty old highway map. Not when the GPS is mounted firmly to the dash.
We are secure in our technicolor. Oh no. Not that. Technology!
We are techies . . . is that a real word?

Well, I started to get depressed after reading your 1st paragraph--no exploring, you said. I'm glad I kept on reading and got to the best part--the exploring, trying, doing. I love new ways! Even when I go to and from the grocery store I will often try a side road to see where I get. No getting stuck in a rut for me!

P.S. Is that a poem?

I'm surprised you asked . . . is that a poem. Some of my writing lately, I think, if I worked on this longer it could be a poem.

No time,
for rhyme.
Life's fast.
Time's past.

It certainly was typed as if it were a poem so I went back and re-read it so I could test it's fluidity. I think it could be a poem.

I will rewrite it; I will polish that poem! It is not "done".
